A Proud Tradition
雅伎著 has one of the nations most recognizable and successful athletics programsbacked by a dedicated Terp fan base.
Our eight mens teams and 12 womens teams compete at the NCAA Division I level. Eight 雅伎著 programs have combined to win 47 national championships, including the 1953 football team and the 2022 mens lacrosse team, which finished with a perfect 18-0 record to earn its 13th title.

Nearly 52,000 fans can come together at the home of 雅伎著s football and mens lacrosse teams. It features a high-tech turf field, and the new video board is one of the nations biggest.
Join one of the loudest fan bases in the country at 雅伎著s largest arena, which also hosts gymnastics, wrestling and volleyball. In addition, the center houses the Terrapin Walk of Fame and History and Terrapin Team Store.
A 2023 renovation tripled the size of the facility for the powerhouse teams that have won a combined 23 national titles and 46 National Player of the Year honors.
The home of 雅伎著 Baseball for 70-plus years has been recently upgraded with a high-tech playing surface, bullpen, outfield wall and new lighting.
The complex for the mens and womens soccer teams (and their hyped-up fans, known as The Crew) is fully lit with an all-weather track and sodded Bermuda grass playing field.

Recreation & Wellness
University Recreation and Wellness, known as RecWell, encourages Terps to be active.
It offers a huge array of facilities and hundreds of opportunities: club and intramural sports, fitness classes, adventure trips, personal training, an aquatics program and so much more.
Students can not only build the habit of incorporating movement into daily life, but also build their community.
Intramural & Club Sports
Intramural sports bring together Terps to participate in leagues, tournaments and events. Participants can rally their friends to play at either the competitive or recreation level.
Club sports offer opportunities for developing friendships, building leadership skills, learning a new sport and improving skills. Many clubs have tryouts and compete against other universities.

The biggest fitness hub on campus offers an Olympic-size indoor pool; outdoor pool; 55-foot climbing wall; challenge course; basketball, racquetball and squash courts; fitness and weight rooms and more.
The historic indoor facility houses basketball, volleyball and badminton courts.
This former arena features a basketball court, fitness room, weight room, training space and more.
Commonly referred to as The Beach," this space is used for free play activities like pickup soccer and volleyball games, as well as special events.
The home of the mens and womens golf teams is an 18-hole Audubon-certified public course.
Programs & Activities

Go hiking, biking or canoeing on a trip off campus, tackle the climbing wall or rent equipment for your own adventure.

Take group classes, get focused with personal training, or use cardio, weight or functional training equipment.

Swim, play or dive into our indoor or outdoor pools and enjoy the many benefits of being active in water.

Five premier teams take on other Big Ten institutions, and 16 student-led gaming clubs compete in intramural and intercollegiate tournaments.
